Beach, Rain, Wind, Beach

Happy Easter to everyone!

I feel like I haven't posted in forever, even though it's only been a couple of days.

The past few days I was at the beach visiting a friend while little man was at the in-laws. I don't really have any pictures to show you as it was pretty darn cold and I didn't feel that motivated to take pictures because my hands were in my coat pockets the whole time.

I did get to read a little and it was nice to go out to eat without an infant, but I didn't sleep well the few days I was there. I haven't been sleeping well the past week or so anyways. I hope the deployment insomnia isn't kicking in, although I feel like that's what it is. It's a good reminder that I need to exercise more during the day and get my hiney in motion so my body can sleep better. My mind is exhausted at the end of the day, but still I toss and turn, unable to get comfortable, too tired to write letters, but just can't get to sleep. Urgh.

I watched a few episodes of Army Wives the other day. It's a little too dramatic for me, but I like the parts that show the men that are deployed. I have no idea if that is actually what it looks like over there but it gives me a little bit of a visual and idea of what it's like for lovie over there. Now, I say it's too dramatic for me, but mostly because it seemed accurate as far as the military drama goes. Most of those stories don't apply to me, but I do know that some women are that dramatic with each other and some do have that dramatic of relationships with their spouses and children, etc. I'm thankful lovie and I are very respectful and supportive of one another. The stuff that happens in the show seems pretty accurate as far as how much the Army changes things, how difficult it is to PCS, how difficult it is to be home while your spouse is away, how much you want to support them but at the same time you wish they'd get out of the military, etc. I only watched two or three episodes and I don't plan on watching any more (unless I amazingly run out of things to watch on Netflix and my DVR) and I'm not even really sure why I'm talking about it, just my observation of the series I guess. No judgment on people who love it or hate it, just saying I saw it for the first time =).

Anyways, I'll be back to normal blogging soon, once I get settled in from vacation. It's amazing how much effort it is to go on a vacation sometimes. Not sure this time was worth it... I'm utterly exhausted and I still have a few loads of laundry to do and things to clean/cook/organize, but I did have some quality time with my friend and that is always worth it!

Have a lovely day!
