No Bake- Everything But The Kitchen Sink Cereal Bars

Good Morning!

A few days ago Jo from Jo, My Gosh! posted her Wake and Bake box where she had some awesome looking recipes in her care package. Obviously is made my heart sing because it was using all stuff she already had on hand so I knew I had to give it a shot in my Everything But The Kitchen Sink Cereal Bars (No Bake).

She has the recipe link on her site and I went off the Pecan and Nut bars and made my own adjustments with what I had in the house. I used rice crispy cereal and adding in peanuts, chopped almonds, raisins, chocolate chips, a few mini marshmallows, and at the last minute decided to add about a teaspoon of flax seed (shhh!).

The picture above shows what my island looks like while I'm cooking: a construction zone!

Here's the honey and sugar bubbling up on the stove =) Yum!

Once they were done I put them into a 13x9 dish. I doubled up on the recipe so they were extra thick and dense- just how I like 'em. Also, when I poured the mixture on top of the dry ingredients I purposely put the chocolate chips and marshmallows on top so the hot mixture would melt them a little.

Once they were cool I cut them into very thin pieces. Oh!! You can also see my Yellow Ribbon Paracord bracelet my brother (who's in the Air Force) made me that I'll wear while lovie is deployed.

I packaged them up 4 to  a bag so they would still be flat-ish when I put them in a box.

With the doubled recipe I am able to ship 28 bars (not included the ones I tested first haha)

And added some labels =) I am sure hoping he shares them. That would be a lot to eat by himself!

These are super delicious and easy! I am sure I'll be making plenty more batches within the next 9 months. Thanks Jo!

What other homemade goods do you send overseas?

xo JC
